Due to the classic styling of the CDC Ducktail Spoiler, the factory third brake light on the trunk is covered up by this application. With the addition of the Mustang High Mount Brake Light, you will retain the great looks of the spoiler without sacrificing your third, middle brake light. 


- For Coupes, this 3rd light mounts high inside the rear window just below the headliner, adding a high tech look when brake is applied but is otherwise nearly invisible.

Perfect design

I actually purchased this for a 1992 Honda NSX with a GT style wing (which deleted the factory spoiler and 3rd brake light). I needed a 3rd brake light to pass state inspection and this fit the bill perfectly. The light fit in the NSX's engine cover canopy and I was able to tap into the OEM 3rd brake light wiring easily with the included connectors. Within 10 minutes I had a fully functioning, clean looking 3rd brake light and passed inspection without an issue. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one in the future, especially at the price point.

Just installed the break light. It's great for what it's supposed to do. Is not seen in your rear view mirror and looks great from behind the car. A must if you are interested in safety. The one thing to watch is the instructions are not good for newer mustangs. I spend a lot of time discovering which wire I need to tap into. The instructions are not correct. For a Boss 302 you will need to tap into the purple and white wire. If you want to have trucks etc see you then this is a must... I can't emphasis how effective it is and looks great.

Good light, but careful about the installation instructions.

The light once fitted is excellent. You pretty much can't see it in the rear view mirror as it sits up high.... Very good for safety and allowing tucks etc to see you easily. Just be very aware the instructions are not very good when it comes to the wiring. Certainly the color wires to tap into are incorrect in the manual. Considering there are about 15 wires in the harness and they don't match what comes out at the break end. For a Boss 302 (2013) you need the Purple and White wire. It was stress finding out. Again, once installed it's excellent and very cool looking from the back.
