Overview
Whether you plan on working on your Mustang's engine or simply want to show if off, these Hood Struts are the simplest, cleanest, and most convenient way to keep your hood open. This component eliminates the need for the factory hood prop system which cleans up the look of your Mustang significantly.

NOTE: Please take the following into consideration when installing CDC's Hood Strut Kit with an aftermarket hood (i.e.- fiberglass or carbon fiber hoods):
- Some light-weight aftermarket hoods may not be as rigid as the factory hood and may bow slightly due to the pressure of the strut.
- Other aftermarket hoods may weigh too much for the struts which may not provide enough support in the open position.

The easiest install ever. They work as promised. If your thinking of getting these...stop thinking about it and DO IT! All of the items are marked passenger and drivers side. You can't screw it up.

If you are holding off on buying these because you think they may be hard to install you can stop worrying. Installation is very simple and the instructions are dead solid perfect. They work like a champ!!

Easy to install with simple tools. No drilling or riviting required (unlike competition struts). Installed one side at a time per instructions. Hood aligned perfectly without adjustment. Ordered black which complements Silver convertible with black top and American Muscle black radiator extensions. Very pleased.

I purchased this kit due to the fact that THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DRILLING OR MODIFICATION INVOLVED. I am somewhat adequate in the use of tools but I am trying to maintain the integrity of my GT as far as modifications. If you are thinking of purchasing a hood strut kit definitely look at CDC's. Follow the instructions and it will take all of 20-30 minutes.

I like this kit more than others because there is no drilling required. Instructions are well thought out. I used a spring clamp to hold the hood inplace while I installed my 2nd bracket. Made it much easier, not having to hold the hood in place.

This is a very high quality product with excellent instructions. I installed these struts in about 20 minutes with simple tools. No more support rod and the hood actually opens a little wider than with the rod.
