Overview
In 1969, the Mustang Mach 1 was introduced as Ford's performance model that not only offered incredible acceleration, but also great style. One of the most recognizable features on this Mustang's long hood was the Shaker System. Give your 2005-09 Mustang an intimidating, classic look with the CDC Shaker System and its pronounced, cast aluminum hood scoop. Not only will your Mustang look better, but this component also works as a completely functional Ram Air product that will boost performance with an increase in horsepower. This product is available for the V8 and V6 models!
- Includes a pre-assembled engine dress-up cover with cast aluminum scoop, all the necessary hardware, duct work, instructions, and templates for an easy installation.
- The Mustang Shaker was engineered with multiple water management systems to prevent water from entering the engine, making foul-weather driving concerns obsolete.
- The CDC Mustang Shaker System utilizes the factory air box so engine flashing is not necessary, leaving your emissions unchanged and warranty intact.
- With a little creativity, the Shaker system can easily be adapted to most aftermarket cold air intake systems as well.
- The Shaker installs using your stock aluminum hood which has a factory-stamped recess in the hood’s inner layer. (This element was included by Ford specifically for the CDC Shaker to maintain the structural integrity of the hood after the hole has been cut).

PLEASE NOTE: SHAKER TRIM RING DOES NOT COVER THE FACTORY HOOD SCOOP HOLES (07+ FACTORY HOOD SCOOPS) that are left after the factory hood scoops are removed. Please see the Retro '69 Design hood as an alternative replacement hood.)

This is a great kit to install. Easy to install with a minimum of modifications needed. It really looks great when combined with the custom designed 70's style hood!!!

This a awesome system I love the look it gives my 07 mustang. I also love the looks and compliments I get from others. The fact that it is a functional system versus the the stick on scoop is an added bonus.

I purchased this kit and was hesitant to attempt to install it myself. Once I received it and looked at the instructions I decided to attempt the installation. The templates supplied were perfect and instructions were very easy to understand. Within 1 hour I had the hole cut in the hood and was ready to install shaker system onto the motor. The only part that I had trouble with was bolting the front of the shaker to the intake. I actually modified the shaker cowl in the front just a little bit with a grinder to allow more room to get the bolt in the passenger side easier. Once that was done the install was easy. Once completed, I was very happy with the way it looked on the car. It looks way better than the non-functional ones and it actually adds a few horsepower. Although it’s a bit pricey compared to the fake scoops, I strongly recommend it to any muscle car fanatic!

Shaker look's like a factory item,easy install and excellent fit and finish,I like it so much on the Mustang I,m ordering one for my 07 F150 highly recommend this product to anyone

I had my dealer MetroFord in kansas city install this they asked me if i wanted a scoop and i said yes but not one of those fake stick on ones i wanted one that worked really made my car stand out it's great (2006 GT)

i have a 2005 roush stage 2 mustang. mine didnt come with a hood scoop and i didnt want to go with a stick on scoop after the install of your shaker scoop all i can say is WOW ! it realy bring the car to life havent had the chance to go drag racing but i cant wait to see how it performs i did make changes under the hood to get better performance from the kit i will keep you posted on the out come ! i do a lot of road racing also and at the events all i hear is pop the hood so we can see it and after they see it they say the same thing WOW !!!!!

Bought mine dealer installed. Very happy with the look! Although it looks great, I think it could have been designed a little better. There are too many bends and plumbings thickness varies too much throughout the system. Also, the entry point (scoop) should have been widened. On the outside, the opening looks very generous but if you peek in the inside, it's greatly restricted. The Show factor is through the roof! The Go factor is a bit lacking. If you're looking to improve performance I say go with a CAI. Kind of makes you wonder why the company doesn't post up HP numbers after the install of one of these Shaker hoods...

Great system easy to install dont know if it added HP but it sure feels like it. Very easy to install and realy looks great. I recomend this over the non functional hood scoop.

This is a great kit. It is very well thought out and very well made from quality materials. The instructions and templates from CDC were spot on and made the install easier than anyone would have thought. I think a functional Shaker Scoop system is far better than just a decorative non functional scoop, I am glad I made this modification to my '05 Mustang GT.
